- Must qualify the written test of Language/General Knowledge at graduation level.
- Must qualify the data entry test with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute.
- Must possess basic computer, internet and email knowledge.
- Must have Hindi or Sanskrit in Matriculation, or Hindi as a subject in 10+2, B.A. or M.A.
- Must qualify the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation and Applications (SETC) within the prescribed two-year probation period, which may be extended by one year.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and must not exceed 42 years of age as per the prescribed eligibility conditions.
